Creep
Radiohead · 1992The track was recorded in 1992 at Chipping Norton Recording Studios during sessions for Pablo Honey with Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, Colin Greenwood, Ed O Brien and Philip Selway. Sean Slade and Paul Q. Kolderie produced the recording, which became the band debut single. Released in 1992 and reissued in 1993, it became Radiohead breakthrough hit after initial slow UK reception. The single reached number 7 on the UK Singles Chart and number 34 on the Billboard Hot 100, giving the band international exposure before The Bends. It remains Radiohead most widely recognized early song and one of the defining alternative rock singles of the early 1990s. The song has been widely covered and remained central to the band public image despite their later ambivalence toward it.
