Reckoner

Recorded during the In Rainbows sessions in 2005–2007, with Radiohead working at their Oxfordshire studio, Tottenham House, Halswell House, and The Hospital Club in London; Nigel Godrich produced and handled recording, with Jonny Greenwood arranging the strings and Sally Herbert conducting the string parts. Released on In Rainbows in 2007, it became one of the album’s defining tracks and later received an official stem-remix campaign from Radiohead. It reached number 74 on the UK singles chart and appeared in the 2008 film Choke. The song remained a fan favorite and a touchstone of Radiohead’s late-2000s work, especially after the band released stems for remixes and issued an official video through a fan competition. Its arrangement and atmosphere have continued to be cited as a high point of In Rainbows.
