Finally

Recorded and mixed at MAW Studios in New York City, with Steve Barkan engineering for Platinum Audio and Sandy Rivera producing the track for Kings Of Tomorrow Productions. Julie McKnight provided the vocals, with Jason ‘Sinister’ Sealee credited for the additional vocal arrangement. Released in 2001, ‘Finally’ became one of Defected’s defining early records and a house standard. Defected says it helped put the newly launched label on the map and the record reached No. 24 on the UK singles chart. The track has remained a dancefloor staple for more than two decades and continues to be revisited through remixes and compilations. Its hook has also been borrowed in later records, including Layo & Bushwacka!’s ‘Love Story (vs Finally)’ and Jess Glynne’s ‘All I Am’.
