Blow Out
Radiohead · 1992Recording
The track was recorded during Pablo Honey sessions in 1992 with Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, Colin Greenwood, Ed O Brien and Philip Selway. The album was recorded at Chipping Norton Recording Studios and Courtyard Studios with producers Sean Slade and Paul Q Kolderie. Released on Pablo Honey in 1993, it closed Radiohead debut album and showed a more expansive side of the band beyond Creep. The song became a noted early showcase for the group dynamic shifts and guitar interplay. It remains a cult favorite from Radiohead first album and a marker of the band early move toward longer, more atmospheric arrangements. The track has continued to appear in retrospective discussion of Pablo Honey as one of its strongest album cuts.
