Black Water

It was recorded for Creep On Creepin' On by Timber Timbre, with Taylor Kirk, Mika Posen, and Simon Trottier as the core trio. The album was recorded at Petite Église in Farnham, Québec, and Treatment Room in Montréal, Québec, with Timber Timbre credited as producer. “Black Water” appeared on Timber Timbre’s fourth album, Creep On Creepin' On, released by Arts & Crafts on April 5, 2011. The band also promoted the song with a video released in May 2011, and the surrounding album cycle drew strong critical attention for its dark, atmospheric sound. The track has had lasting cultural reach through placements in the films For a Good Time, Call... and Bottom of the World, as well as the television series Russian Doll. Its continued use in screen media kept it one of the album’s most recognizable songs.
