Easy Star All-Stars · 2003The track appears on Easy Star All-Stars’ 2003 album Dub Side of the Moon, which was recorded across several New York-area studios including Noise NY in Mt. Vernon, Mic Stand Killer Studios and Funky Slipe Studios in Brooklyn, 401 Studios in New York, Hot Sound in New York, and Zion Studios in Brooklyn. The album was produced, arranged, and mixed by Michael Goldwasser and Victor Axelrod (Ticklah). As the closing dub on Dub Side of the Moon, the track capped Easy Star All-Stars’ first full-length reinterpretation of Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon. The album was released on Easy Star Records and became one of the label’s defining early successes, helping establish the group as a touring act. The track has remained tied to the long-running appeal of Dub Side of the Moon, an album that the label says spent over seven years on the Billboard Reggae charts. It continues to circulate through later editions of the album and keeps the project’s Pink Floyd-to-dub concept in active listening culture.
