Getting Better (feat. The Mighty Diamonds)

The project was built from sessions involving multiple studios and guest vocalists, with The Mighty Diamonds featured on this track. The track turned the Beatles’ "Getting Better" into a roots-reggae showcase for The Mighty Diamonds, matching the album’s concept of translating Sgt. Pepper’s into dub. The album was released by Easy Star Records in April 2009 and was widely noted as a carefully made tribute rather than a novelty exercise. It remains one of the best-known examples of Easy Star All-Stars’ album-length concept covers, and the record is still cited as a high point in the group’s catalog.
