Billie Jean (Radio Edit)

Recorded for Easy Star All-Stars’ 2012 tribute project Easy Star’s Thrillah, with Luciano on lead vocals and Michael Goldwasser producing the album. The album was cut across multiple studios in Kingston, Brooklyn, New York, Hawaii, Brazil, Israel, Florida, and the UK, reflecting the collective, multi-location production behind the project. It was issued first as a digital EP on July 10, 2012, and served as the lead introduction to Easy Star All-Stars’ full-length Michael Jackson tribute album Easy Star’s Thrillah. Reviewers singled out Luciano’s vocal performance and the track’s reggae-dub reworking of the original. The track remains one of the best-known selections from Easy Star All-Stars’ Thriller reimagining and a key example of the group’s album-by-album tribute approach. It continued the band’s reputation for turning familiar pop songs into polished reggae covers with strong guest vocalists.
