Thriller

Recorded for Easy Star All-Stars’ 2012 reggae reimagining of Michael Jackson’s Thriller, assembled under Michael Goldwasser’s direction with guest vocalists including Mikey General and Spragga Benz. The project was recorded across five countries and issued through Easy Star Records. It was the title track of Easy Star’s Thrillah, the group’s tribute album to Thriller and one of the label’s most visible crossover projects. The release highlighted the collective’s method of turning pop classics into roots-reggae arrangements while keeping the original song’s drama intact. The track remains part of Easy Star All-Stars’ best-known album cycle and a durable example of reggae tribute reworkings. It continues to represent the group’s approach to reinterpretation rather than simple cover versions.
