Lil Jon · 2003
Recording

Recorded in 2002 for Kings of Crunk, the track featured Ying Yang Twins and was built around Lil Jon’s production and vocals. Lil Jon later said he had originally tried a different hook before settling on the released chorus. Released in 2003, the single turned into a defining crunk anthem and pushed the style into the mainstream. It peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and also reached No. 1 on Hot Rap Songs. The track remained one of Lil Jon’s signature hits and a durable pop-culture reference point. It continued to appear in films, games, and later performances, and its chant-heavy hook helped make it one of the era’s most recognizable club records.
