Sexy Sadie

The Beatles · 1968
Recording

The track was recorded for The Beatles in July and August 1968 at EMI Studios in London with John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. George Martin produced the recording, with Ken Scott engineering during the White Album sessions. Released on The Beatles in 1968, it reflected Lennon disillusionment with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi after the band stay in Rishikesh. Though not issued as a single, it became one of the album notable Lennon compositions. It remains a significant White Album track and a key example of Lennon writing from the Beatles 1968 India period. The 2009 remaster kept the original recording in circulation as part of the band catalogue reissue campaign.
