Come Together
The Beatles · 1969Recording
The track was recorded for Abbey Road in July 1969 at EMI Studios in London with John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. George Martin produced the recording, with Geoff Emerick engineering the album sessions. Released on Abbey Road in 1969 and as a double A side single with Something, it became one of the Beatles final major hits. The single reached number 4 on the UK Singles Chart and number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It remains one of the Beatles most recognized late period songs and one of Lennon best known band compositions. The track has been widely covered and sampled, while its Chuck Berry related lyric dispute became part of its legal history.
