My Step

Little Dragon recorded “My Step” for Machine Dreams, the Gothenburg quartet’s second album. Yukimi Nagano, Erik Bodin, Fredrik Wallin and Håkan Wirenstrand wrote and produced the track, with the album mixed by Little Dragon, Harry Lindgård and Petter Lindgård and mastered by Guy Davie. Released by Peacefrog in 2009 on Machine Dreams, it appeared early in the album sequence and helped establish the record’s brighter, more synthesizer-led identity after the group’s debut. Contemporary reviews framed Machine Dreams as a step toward a more rhythm-focused and atmospheric sound built around Nagano’s vocal presence. The track remains a recognised album cut from Little Dragon’s pre-breakthrough catalogue. It forms part of the Machine Dreams period that broadened the band’s international profile before their later crossover collaborations and festival audience.
