After the Rain

Little Dragon recorded “After the Rain” for their self-titled debut album, released in 2007 after the Gothenburg quartet had developed from local sessions around Yukimi Nagano, Erik Bodin, Fredrik Wallin and Håkan Wirenstrand. The track was written and produced by Little Dragon, with the band’s credits listing Bodin on drums, Wallin and Wirenstrand on keyboards, and Nagano on vocals. Released by Peacefrog in 2007 on Little Dragon, the song helped introduce the band’s intimate, rhythm-led early sound alongside tracks such as “Twice” and “Constant Surprises.” It became one of the album’s notable cuts during the group’s first international campaign. The track remains a recognised early Little Dragon recording and a marker of the band’s pre-breakthrough Gothenburg sound. Its continued presence in the album’s reissues and official catalogue has kept it visible within the group’s debut-era material.
