Nightlight

Recorded during the Ritual Union sessions at the band’s own studio in Gothenburg, Sweden, with Little Dragon handling the production. The song appears on the 2011 album Ritual Union and was issued as the record’s lead single in April 2011. “Nightlight” introduced Ritual Union ahead of the album’s release and helped frame the record’s cool, hazy pop direction. Its profile widened further when it was included on the FIFA 12 soundtrack. The track remains one of Little Dragon’s best-known songs because of its placement in FIFA 12 and its continued appearance in the band’s catalog and live sets. It also stands as an early marker of the sound that carried the group to broader international attention in the 2010s.
