Oh My God

Recorded during the Midnight Marauders sessions in New York City, chiefly at Battery Studios, with A Tribe Called Quest handling the production and Busta Rhymes featured on the single version. The track was issued by Jive as the album’s third single in 1994. Released as the third single from Midnight Marauders, it extended the album’s run of tightly written, sample-driven singles and put Busta Rhymes’ guest presence in the spotlight. It reached the UK chart and became one of the record’s signature cuts. The song remains one of A Tribe Called Quest’s best-known later-era tracks, regularly cited among the group’s essential recordings and preserved in official video and compilation releases. Its Busta Rhymes hook and vocal interplay kept it in circulation well beyond its original chart run.
