Lost in Music

Recorded for Sister Sledge's 1979 album We Are Family at Power Station Studios in New York City, with Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards of Chic producing and arranging the session. Joni Sledge sang lead vocal. Released as the album's third single, it helped extend the run of Chic-produced disco hits that made We Are Family a major crossover success. In the UK it reached the Top 20 and became one of the album's most recognizable tracks. The song became one of Sister Sledge's signature recordings and returned to the UK Top 5 with a 1984 remix. It has remained a club staple and a frequently covered and remixed disco standard.
