Here's to You

Randy Muller wrote and arranged Here's to You, co-producing it with Solomon Roberts Jr. for Skyy's 1980 album Skyyport at Blank Tapes Studios in New York. Denise Dunning sang the lead vocal, with Tommy McConnell on drums and Roberts on guitar. The record became a New York club and block-party favorite, reaching number 23 on Billboard's R&B singles chart in 1981. Its prominent bassline, synthesizer refrain and group vocals established it among Skyy's signature recordings. The track remained a fixture of Salsoul compilations and specialist DJ selections. Be With Records reissued its sought-after twelve-inch mix in 2019, paired with You Got Me Up.
