Recorded in 1980 for the No Way sessions in Montreal, with lead vocal by Geraldine Hunt and production by Mike Pabon Austin. The album was tracked at Alpha International Recording Studios, with rhythm tracks arranged by Geraldine Hunt and Peter Dowse and additional horn and string arrangement by Giuliano Salerni. The single became Hunt’s breakout club record, reaching No. 1 on Billboard’s dance chart and spending seven weeks there. It also crossed to the UK Singles Chart, where it peaked at No. 44, giving her the widest mainstream visibility of her career. The track remained a durable disco and dance-floor staple, and later DJs and producers repeatedly reworked it. It has been sampled in dozens of later songs and revived in modern re-edits and remixes, keeping it active in dance-music culture.
