Easy Money (Todd Terje 2004 Re-Edit)

Dee Dee Sharp Gamble · 1980
Recording

Dee Dee Sharp Gamble recorded Easy Money for her 1980 Philadelphia International album Dee Dee. The Todd Terje re-edit was prepared in 2004 from the Philadelphia International master, with Phil Terry credited as composer and producer on later digital releases and Todd Terje credited as re-mixer. The original Easy Money formed part of the Breaking and Entering pairing that topped Billboard's dance chart in 1980. Todd Terje's 2004 re-edit brought the album cut back into circulation for the early-2000s disco edit scene. The re-edit became a sought-after DJ version and later appeared on Philadelphia International re-edit and remix compilations. It helped connect Sharp Gamble's late Philadelphia International work to modern rare-groove and nu-disco audiences.
