I'm Corrupt

Recorded for Kid Creole & The Coconuts' debut album Off the Coast of Me with the New York ensemble assembled by August Darnell, featuring the group's blend of theatrical vocals, Latin rhythms and dance-floor arrangements. The track helped establish the satirical, character-driven world of Kid Creole & The Coconuts and showcased the witty songwriting that distinguished the group from contemporary dance acts. It remains a cult favourite within the Kid Creole catalogue and is regularly cited as an example of August Darnell's sophisticated fusion of humour, storytelling and club-oriented production.
