The Glow of Love

Change · 1980
Recording

Recorded in 1980 at Fontoprint Studios in Bologna, Italy, with additional sessions at Media Sound Studios and Power Station Studios in New York. The title track features Luther Vandross on lead vocals and was produced for the Change debut album by Jacques Fred Petrus and Mauro Malavasi. The song appeared on Change's 1980 debut album, introducing the group’s polished post-disco sound and bringing Luther Vandross to a wider audience. It became a notable slow-burn favorite from the album and a key part of the record’s early identity. The track remained one of Change’s best-known titles and continued to circulate through later reissues, compilations, and sampling culture. Its association with Vandross also kept it central to the group’s historical reputation.
