Change of Heart

Recorded for Change’s 1984 album Change of Heart during sessions at Umbi Recording Studios in Italy, Creation Audio in Minneapolis, and Mediasound in New York City. Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis produced the title track, with Timmy Allen also credited on the album’s production team. Released as the album’s title single, it became one of Change’s signature 1984 releases and a UK Top 20 hit. The record showcased the group’s glossy post-disco direction under Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. The song remained one of the best-known tracks from Change’s 1984 era and continued to circulate through later compilations and reissues. Its groove and vocal hook were sampled and referenced in later dance and funk productions.
