Ain't No Time Fa Nuthin' - 12" Version
The Futures · 1979Recording
Recorded at Sigma Sound Studios in Philadelphia for the Futures’ 1978 Philadelphia International debut album, Past, Present and the Futures. Joseph B. Jefferson and Charles B. Simmons produced the track, with John L. Usry Jr. handling the arrangement on the original release. The track was one of the album’s key Philadelphia International cuts and circulated as a promo 7-inch in early 1979. It reflected the label’s late-1970s Philly soul sound and was later extended for 12-inch release. The song has remained a sought-after Philly soul title and has been sampled by later artists. Its 12-inch mix kept it in circulation through compilations and reissues.
