Toxic Girl

The track was recorded for Quiet Is the New Loud with Erlend Oye and Eirik Glambek Boe. Ken Nelson, Kings of Convenience and Morten Arnetvedt are credited as producers on the recording. Released as a single in 2001, it became one of Kings of Convenience early international calling cards. The single reached number 44 on the UK Singles Chart and the song gained wider exposure through Shallow Hal and an AT and T Wireless commercial. It remains one of the duo best known early songs and a defining track from Quiet Is the New Loud. The Monte Carlo 1963 version and its video kept the song prominent in the album release cycle.
