Sing It Back (Boris Musical Mix)

Moloko recorded the original track for I Am Not a Doctor at the duo’s BAM home studio in Sheffield, with Mark Brydon producing and Róisín Murphy on vocals. Boris Dlugosch and Michael Lange later remixed it into the club version issued on the 1999 single. The Boris Musical Mix turned a modest album track into Moloko’s breakthrough single, taking it to No. 4 in the UK and into heavy club rotation across Europe. It became the version that defined the song for mainstream dance audiences. The remix endured as one of late-1990s club music’s signature crossover hits and remained the best-known Moloko recording. It kept appearing on dance compilations and retrospectives long after the original album cut had faded from the charts.
