Recording

In 1998, LA production duo Deep Swing, the team of Eric Wikman and James Donaldson, recorded the track with Texan vocalist Chance for New York DJ Tony Humphries’ Yellorange imprint. The release was later issued in the UK on AM:PM and remixed by Louie Vega and others. The single became a UK chart entry and was described at the time as a floor smash, helping define late-1990s house crossover with a strong club profile. It is also remembered as a now-classic Sunkids record featuring Chance on vocals. The track remained a touchstone for late-1990s vocal house, and its remixes continued to circulate in club culture and DJ sets. Its association with Deep Swing and Chance kept it in rotation well beyond its original 1999 run.
