Deep Inside
Hardrive · 1993Recorded in New York in 1993 for Strictly Rhythm, with Little Louie Vega on production and mix duties, Kenny Dope Gonzalez credited on the project, Barbara Tucker on vocals, and Erick Morillo engineering the title track at Dungeon Tape Studio in Brooklyn. The original 12-inch EP also credits Masters at Work Productions and notes mixing across several New York studios. Released in 1993, the track became one of the defining records of early-1990s New York house and a signature Hardrive release. It helped crystallize the Strictly Rhythm sound and was quickly treated as a club classic. The track has remained a fixture in house canon, sampled by artists including Kanye West and referenced in later remixes and reworks over the years. Its vocal hook and drum pattern have made it one of the era’s most enduring dance records.
