Daddy

Released as a 1993 single by Swedish rapper ADL, with Christian Falk credited alongside ADL on the recording. The track was later included on Tommy Boy's Planet Rap compilation, which presented hip-hop acts from different countries. The single gave ADL wider international visibility and became noted for receiving New York radio play in 1993. Its appearance on Planet Rap placed it within an early-1990s wave of globally circulated hip-hop outside the United States. The track remains one of ADL's best-documented early releases and is mainly remembered through sample documentation and international hip-hop compilations. Its Aaron Hall and Sly & the Family Stone sample sources keep it connected to early-1990s sample-based rap practice.
