Kings of Convenience · 2000
Recording

The track was recorded for Quiet Is the New Loud with Erlend Øye and Eirik Glambek Bøe during sessions produced by Ken Nelson. The album was made at Parr Street Studios in Liverpool and Ornkli Studios in Bergen, using the duo close harmony and acoustic guitar format. Released on Quiet Is the New Loud in 2001, it became one of the songs that introduced Kings of Convenience internationally through Source and Astralwerks. The track helped define the album restrained, intimate sound during the early 2000s acoustic pop revival. It remains a notable early Kings of Convenience recording and a representative piece from Quiet Is the New Loud. The song continues to be associated with the duo understated songwriting and the Bergen scene that also surrounded Erlend Øye other collaborations.
