You´ve Lost That Loving Feeling

Recorded for Sugar Minott's Black Roots circle and issued in 1980 as You've Lost It with Papa Honey on the vocal side. Sugar Minott arranged the track, and JKS produced the 12-inch release with Black Roots Players providing the dub version. Released by Black Roots in the UK in 1980, the record recast You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin' as a lovers rock and roots-reggae performance. It sits within Minott's early-1980s run of self-directed Black Roots productions after his Studio One breakthrough. The track remains a documented deep-cut cover in Sugar Minott's catalogue and a collectible Black Roots 12-inch. Its later digital appearance under the full You've Lost That Loving Feeling title kept the recording available beyond the original vinyl issue.
