Lykke Li · 2010
Recording

Lykke Li recorded the song at Atlantis and Decibel Studios in Stockholm with producer and co-writer Björn Yttling. The recording features layered percussion, backing vocals and mixing by Lasse Mårtén. Released as the lead single from Wounded Rhymes, it introduced a more forceful vocal and lyrical approach than her debut. Its provocative lyrics explored power and control, drawing inspiration from Haruki Murakami's The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle. The song received remixes by Beck and Beastie Boys member Mike D. Its appearances in The Vow and the Catwoman trailer for Batman: Arkham City extended its reach beyond the album.
