Winter Rose

Recorded and produced at Steam Rooms on the Isle of Wight, with Paul Butler producing and mixing and Jon McMullen assisting. The track appears on the 2010 album Every Step’s a Yes. Released as part of The Bees’ first Fiction Records album cycle, the song drew review attention for its horn-led, downbeat arrangement and sat near the front of the record’s sequence. The song reached No. 36 on the UK Official Singles Chart and later circulated in a Nicolas Jaar remix, which kept it in circulation beyond the original release.
