Cause = Time

The track was recorded for You Forgot It in People with the large Toronto collective built around Kevin Drew and Brendan Canning. The album was produced by David Newfeld and recorded in Toronto during the sessions that brought together members connected to Do Make Say Think, Metric, Stars and other local projects. Released on You Forgot It in People in 2002, it became one of the songs that helped define Broken Social Scene rise from local collective to international indie act. The album won the Juno Award for Alternative Album of the Year and made Arts and Crafts a key Canadian independent label. It remains one of Broken Social Scene best known early tracks and a core song from You Forgot It in People. The track continues to represent the sprawling Toronto collective sound that influenced later 2000s indie rock.
