Oh Boy

Recorded and mixed at Baseline Studios in New York City, with Just Blaze producing and Gimel "Young Guru" Keaton handling recording and mixing. Cam'ron, Justin Smith, and LaRon James received the writing credits, and Juelz Santana was featured on the release. Released in 2002 as the lead single from Come Home with Me, it became Cam'ron's crossover breakthrough and a major Roc-A-Fella hit. The song reached No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and spent five weeks at No. 1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles chart. "Oh Boy" remained one of Cam'ron's signature records and a defining Dipset-era single, with Just Blaze's production widely recognized as a touchstone of early-2000s New York rap. Its reach extended into pop culture through Mariah Carey's answer song "Boy (I Need You)," and later artists continued to reference or revisit the track.
