The Choice Is Yours (Revisited)

It was recorded during the A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing sessions at Calliope Studios in New York City from November 1990 to July 1991. The track was produced by Black Sheep, with Andres Titus and William McLean handling the record’s production work. It served as the breakthrough single from Black Sheep’s debut album and became the duo’s best-known record. The album was praised for its playful satire, wit, and imagination, and the single pushed that reputation into the wider hip-hop audience. It remained Black Sheep’s signature song, later receiving a VH1 ranking among the greatest hip-hop songs and being sampled by Fatman Scoop on "Be Faithful." Its chant-driven hook and call-and-response structure kept it in circulation through later TV, film, and DJ culture.
