Ease My Mind

Ease My Mind

Arrested Development · 1994
Recording

Recorded at Transmedia Studio in Georgia for the 1994 album Zingalamaduni, Ease My Mind was written by Speech and produced by Speech for Arrested Development. The single release credits its use of George Clintons Open All Night Drums source material. Released by Chrysalis and Cooltempo in 1994, Ease My Mind became one of the main singles from Zingalamaduni. It reached number 33 on the UK Official Singles Chart and kept Arrested Development on international singles charts after their 3 Years 5 Months And 2 Days In The Life Of debut cycle. The track remains part of Arrested Developments mid 1990s catalogue and a documented bridge between their debut success and Zingalamaduni period. Its George Clinton drum source and later remixes kept it present in sample and club reference points.
