Shine

Written by Joe Cang and Aswad, "Shine" was released in 1994 as the lead single from Rise and Shine. The single came out in a Beatmasters-remixed form, with production credited to Aswad. The track became Aswad’s second-biggest UK hit and reached number 5 on the Official Singles Chart. It opened the Rise and Shine campaign and reintroduced the group to a wider pop audience. "Shine" remains one of Aswad’s signature songs and has stayed central to retrospective releases and greatest-hits packages. Its Beatmasters remix helped give the track a long life beyond its original single release.
