Recorded during the sessions for Youth Novels at studios including Atlantis Studio, Decibel Studios, Hogalid Studio, Sear Sound and Think Tank. Lykke Li performed the lead vocal, with Bjorn Yttling producing and playing acoustic guitar, snare drum and backing vocals, and Lasse Marten serving as co-producer and mixer. The song became one of the defining tracks from Lykke Li's debut album and was praised for pairing emotional restraint with sparse percussion, acoustic guitar and saxophone. Pitchfork ranked it among the 100 best tracks of 2008. The track remains one of Lykke Li's best-known early recordings and a key example of the minimalist Swedish pop sound associated with Youth Novels. Its continued live performance and later remixes helped extend its reach beyond the album.
