That's the Way (Remaster)
Led Zeppelin · 1970Recorded in May and June 1970 using the Rolling Stones Mobile Studio at Headley Grange, with additional work at Olympic Sound Studios in London. Jimmy Page produced the recording and Andy Johns engineered it; Page and Robert Plant had written the song at Bron-Yr-Aur cottage in Wales. Released on Led Zeppelin III, the track exemplified the album's decisive expansion into acoustic material. Contemporary critic Lester Bangs praised its understated guitar and vocal performance as the first Led Zeppelin song that genuinely moved him. The song is regarded as one of Led Zeppelin's most accomplished acoustic ballads and a defining example of the broader musical range introduced on Led Zeppelin III. Jimmy Page remastered it for the album's 2014 deluxe reissue.
