One More Chance (Remix)

The remix was recorded in 1994 at The Hit Factory in New York City, with Sean "Puffy" Combs and Rashad Smith producing. Faith Evans provided backing vocals, and Mary J. Blige appears uncredited on the record. Issued in 1995 as the remix single from Ready to Die, it became the more commercially successful version of "One More Chance". It topped the U.S. Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, helping turn the album into a broader pop crossover. The remix became one of The Notorious B.I.G.'s signature records and a defining Bad Boy era single. Its polished blend of hardcore rap, R&B vocals, and radio-ready production helped shape the sound of mainstream hip-hop remixes that followed.
