The track was mixed by Scientist for the Hawkeye album Dub Duel, where his side was paired against Crucial Bunny’s side. It is a dub version connected to Desi Roots’ “He Ain’t Coming,” produced for Hawkeye by Roy Forbes Allen. Released in 1982, the track formed part of Hawkeye’s Dub Duel concept, presenting two Jamaican dub engineers in a head-to-head album format. It captured Scientist during his early-1980s peak as one of the defining dub mixers of the period. The track remained in circulation through Dub Duel reissues and later 12-inch reissues pairing Desi Roots’ vocal cut with Scientist’s version. It preserves a Hawkeye-era roots rhythm as a stripped, effects-heavy Scientist mix.
