Love the Feeling
Leroy Hutson · 1976Recording
Recorded in 1976 at Curtom Studios in Chicago, Illinois, with Leroy Hutson producing. Fred Bredberg handled engineering, while James Mack and Rich Tufo contributed string and horn arrangements. “Love the Feeling” opened Hutson II, a late-1976 Curtom album that is widely regarded as one of Hutson’s strongest records. The track exemplified his polished Chicago soul approach, pairing bright horn lines with a mid-tempo groove. The song was later sampled by Delinquent Habits on “House of the Rising Drum” and by Chill Rob G on “Chillin’,” confirming its reach beyond its original release era. It remains one of the album’s defining tracks and a favorite entry in Hutson’s catalog.
