Pirates' Anthem (Skull & Crossbones 12" Mix)

Pirates' Anthem (Skull & Crossbones 12" Mix)

Home T · 1988
Recording

Recorded in Jamaica during the late 1980s dancehall period, with Home T delivering a vocal celebrating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' pirate imagery over a contemporary dancehall production. The extended Skull & Crossbones 12-inch mix was issued for club and sound-system play. The record became one of Home T's best-known novelty and sports-themed recordings, gaining attention beyond traditional reggae audiences. Its memorable chorus and pirate motif made it a favourite with selectors and fans of crossover dancehall releases. The track remains a cult favourite among collectors of late-1980s dancehall and sports-related recordings. The Skull & Crossbones mix is particularly sought after by DJs and reggae enthusiasts for its extended arrangement and distinctive theme.
