Recording

The track was recorded for 100th Window during the sessions led by Robert Del Naja after Andrew Vowles and Grant Marshall were no longer active in the project. Del Naja and Neil Davidge produced the recording, with Sinéad O Connor and Horace Andy among the album vocal collaborators. Released on 100th Window in 2003, it closed the album and reflected Massive Attack darker post Mezzanine studio direction. Though not issued as a charting single, it formed part of the record that kept the group at the center of early 2000s British electronic music. It remains a notable 100th Window album track and an example of Massive Attack shift toward colder, more minimal and politically charged production. The track continues to represent the Del Naja and Neil Davidge era of the group catalogue.
