Jamelia

Caribou recorded Jamelia during the Swim sessions in Wales and at Jeremy Greenspan's studio in Hamilton, Ontario. Dan Snaith wrote and produced the track, with Luke Lalonde of Born Ruffians singing the lead vocal. Jamelia closed Swim, released in April 2010 by City Slang and Merge. The album received major critical acclaim and the track became one of its focal songs through its guest vocal and later video release. Jamelia remains one of the most recognized album tracks from Caribou's Swim era. Its Gold Panda and DJ Koze remixes on Swim Remixes extended the song's reach into the wider electronic music circuit.
