Dooms Night (Timo Maas Remix)

Azzido da Bass · 2000
Recording

Azzido Da Bass and Stevo Wilcken originated the track in Germany in 1999, and Timo Maas reworked it for the 2000 Club Tools single release. The remix release credited Azzido Da Bass and Stevo Wilcken as writers and producers, with Maas alongside Andy Bolleshon and Martin Buttrich on the remix credit. The remix turned a track that had stalled outside the UK top 40 into a crossover club hit, reaching No. 8 on the Official Singles Chart and spending 16 weeks there. It also hit No. 1 on the UK Dance Singles Chart. The record became Timo Maas's breakthrough; contemporary coverage said the remix catapulted him to the forefront of the international scene. It remained one of his defining club records and a touchstone of early-2000s crossover dance music.
