Catch A Groove

Recorded by the New York-based group Juice for their self-titled album, featuring a large ensemble of musicians blending funk, soul and jazz influences. The session was produced by Juice and released during the mid-1970s independent funk boom. The track became a sought-after deep-funk recording, prized for its tight rhythm section, breakbeats and dancefloor appeal. It gained a strong reputation among DJs and collectors despite limited commercial exposure. Its drum breaks and grooves became popular sampling material for hip-hop producers and helped establish the record as a rare-groove classic. The track remains a staple of funk compilations and crate-digging culture.
