Freak

“Freak” was released in 2011 by Drumsound & Bassline Smith on New State Entertainment. The release credits Simon “Bassline” Smith and Andrew Wright as producers, with Taresha Hudson credited as a composer. The single marked a wider New State campaign for Drumsound & Bassline Smith and made BBC Radio 1’s daytime playlist. It reached number 39 on the UK Official Dance Singles Chart and number 33 on the UK Official Independent Singles Chart. “Freak” remained part of the group’s New State catalogue and later reappeared in VIP form on “Wall of Sound.” It is preserved as one of their key 2011 singles between “Freak,” “Close” and the later DJ Fresh “Louder” remix period.
