Recording

“Rock It” was released in 2009 as the A-side of Sub Focus’s “Rock It / Follow The Light” single on RAM Records. The track was written and produced by Nick Douwma and later appeared on Sub Focus’s self-titled debut album. The single gave Sub Focus his first UK Top 40 entry, reaching number 38 on the UK Official Singles Chart. It also reached number 7 on the UK Dance Singles Chart and became one of the main crossover tracks from his debut album campaign. “Rock It” remains one of Sub Focus’s defining early singles from the RAM Records period. Its continued inclusion in digital editions, live sets and soundtrack use kept it central to his late-2000s catalogue.
